Jennifer Hudson's Built-In Knee Pads: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

We didn't take Jennifer Hudson for the B-Boy type, but in these patched-up pants she looks ready to do a knee spin or two.

We've seen motorcycle pants, printed jeans, and even pants with an entire skirt attached, but bottoms featuring built-in knee pads may be a fashion first. Were these designed by a dancer? Or maybe a gardener? Or is there actually a chance that JHud popped two holes in her knees and needed a quick patch?

If so, we wish she'd gone with a different color. Something about the blue stands out in the wrong way against these slick black slacks. It almost takes the chic look down a notch—though little can ruin a JHud outfit these days on account of her top notch bod. 

In the end we're afraid we can only approve of this attire if it is in fact designed for an immediate dance break. Otherwise these bottoms get relegated to our, "make it stop," files. Agree or disagree?

Michelle Obama's Flirty Floral Frock: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

We're a little afraid that the secret service of style is going to come after us for even suggesting that Michelle Obama made a wrong clothing call...

That said, we were surprised by the First Lady's flirty, mixed-floral dress. The Duro Olowu design is wilder than what she usually wears, especially for a public speech. Maybe Washington's favorite style icon is celebrating the end of summer with a bang of color? Or perhaps Sasha and Malia picked this one out of the closet?

We'll admit that the more we look at all those flowers, the more we like this newly bold look on FLOTUS. The bright orange and green really pop against her skin, and it's fun to see her in something other than a traditional cocktail dress.

So either our minds have been changed or all the patterns made us too dizzy to really decide. Either way, we say "yay." What's your take?

Julie Bowen's Sweet-Meets-Sexy Leather Look: Gotta Have It or Make It Stop?

Well this look is a far cry from the jeans and sweater combos Julie Bowen wears as Claire Dunphy.

The ABC star did the fashion equivalent of a "180" for a recent red carpet event showing up in this far from matronly maroon look. Or is the lace and leather combo more of a fashion 120? Or even 90? Half of this Emmy Award winner's ensemble says "meet you at the Hells Angels meeting" but the other half says, "anyone up for afternoon tea?"

If you remove the shoulder-covering capelet from this cocktail dress it becomes full-on vixen wear, especially on account of that black crisscross at the waist. Then again, the tie-front booties have more of a Victorian era vibe.

We typically ascribe to the "go big or go home" philosophy of sexy style. In our book, this look is playing it way too safe. What's your take?

Vanessa Hudgen's Hooded Dress: Gotta Have It Or Make It Stop?

We weren't going to write a whole post on Vanessa Hudgens' sequined, Studio 54 style—then we saw that shot of the hood...

We're not surprised by the starlet's choice of fun over formal, but we are surprised that the hoodie-meets-haute couture look is a Diane von Furstenberg design. The queen of the wrap dress doesn't seem like the sporty type, and yet the Sucker Punch star is wearing a mash-up between a sweat suit and a gown!

Let's pretend this green, goddess look doesn't include the hood. In that case, it's a stunning color on a flowy shape that suits this former High School Musical star's tiny figure. Who cares if it also includes an extra piece of fabric? At least those gorgeous locks will be safe in case of rain.

We're going to let this one go on account of how much we love an all-over blinged-out look. What's your take? Can you look past the hat?
