Hayley Atwell's Stage Show In Jeopardy As Movie Shoot Over-runs

British actress Hayley Atwell faced a last-minute dash to make it on stage for a theatre performance in London this week (beg18Aug13) after filming on her new movie Cinderella over-ran.

The Captain America: The First Avenger star is currently appearing in a play called The Pride in the British capital, and she is also working on Kenneth Branagh's new movie adaptation of the classic fairytale.

Shooting on the film ran over schedule this week (beg19Aug13), forcing the actress to risk axing her appearance in the Monday night (19Aug13) performance of The Pride.

However, Atwell managed to finish work early and made a last-minute dash from the Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, England to the theatre.

The actress made it on time and the show went ahead as planned, and she addressed the drama in a post on her Twitter.com page, writing, "Finished filming early so I Will be appearing in The Pride this evening at Trafalgar Studios. Come join us! It's a fantastic play."

In a post on her blog for Harpersbazaar.co.uk, the actress revealed she didn't realise she was due to start filming Cinderella until the opening night of her play.

She writes, "As we arrive at the after party, at around 11pm, my agent tells me 'You have an 8am pick-up to go to Pinewood Studios for rehearsals in the morning.' Eek. This is news to me... So I say 'hello' to our guests, speak to the press, then head straight home to re-read the script... No rest for the wicked... The next day I'm sitting in a rehearsal room with Ken Branagh discussing an entirely new character. By 4pm I've had costume and wig fittings for Cinderella and then I jump back in the car and head to the theatre."

The Wolverine to tease new X-Men movie

'The Wolverine' will feature a scene teasing 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'.

Actor Hugh Jackman - who reprises his role as the claw-wielding superhero in both upcoming films - has revealed that there will be a scene in the credits of his new solo adventure which will lead into next year's blockbuster 'X-Men' movie directed by Bryan Singer.

He said: ''If you stay on after the credits you get to see a nice little preview for Bryan's next film.''

'X-Men: Days of Future Past' will see many of Jackman's co-stars from the original superhero trilogy - which ran between 2000 and 2006 - return, including Halle Berry, Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen, and the cast have had a ''phenomenal'' time filming the movie.

Jackman added to ComingSoon.net: ''It has been phenomenal. I think all of the actors who were in it before just love being back together and everyone is excited about it.''

The film will also feature stars from 2011 prequel film, 'X-Men: First Class' - such as Jennifer Lawrence, James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender - and the actor is extremely excited about the all-star cast.

He said: ''It's a really great story, great concept, and in my position as Wolverine, I get to act with them all. I mean it's truly one of the great ensembles I think ever put together, so I'm really having a great time.''

There's a new sheriff in town!

Veronica Mars fans will be seeing the return of Sheriff Lamb when the cult series hits the big screen in 2014. But wait, you might be saying, didn't Don Lamb (Michael Mahoney) die in season three?

Well, Veronica's (Kristen Bell) nemesis isn't returning from the grave; his brother Dan Lamb will be in charge of Neptune's police department in the Kicktstarter-funded film. And they landed quite the guest star to play him: Jerry O'Connell!

Creator Rob Thomas announced the good news in an email to Kickstarter backers, saying, "I'm pleased to tell you that Jerry O'Connell has joined Veronica Mars as Sheriff Dan Lamb, a new Lamb Brother I hope you love to hate."

Thomas highlighted O'Connell's jerkish turn in the horror flick Piranha 3D as his main reason for casting him in the role. "When it came time to cast the amoral older brother of Don Lamb as the new sheriff of Balboa County, I lit up when Jerry's name was raised," he explained.

"I was a big Veronica Mars fan," O'Connell says in a video he recorded for Kickstarter backers, adding that he had no idea he was playing Sheriff Lamb's "younger brother" until two days before filming his scenes.
