Jennifer Love Hewitt Talks Pregnancy Cravings, Wedding Plans and Honoring Her Late Mother

Jennifer Love Hewitt definitely has that pregnancy glow.

The 34-year-old actress, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Brian Hallisay, simply stunned at the Pampers Love, Sleep & Play Campaign in New York City on Wednesday.

And naturally, the Client List star was more than happy to talk about all things baby.

When asked if she knows the gender of her little one, Hewitt smiled and told E! News that she's doesn't want to find out ahead of time.

"It's one of life's last great surprises and I want to be surprised," the mom-to-be said.

As for how her pregnancy is going, Hewitt admits it has its ups and downs.

"Your body goes through a lot of changes. You feel a lot of things hormonally," she said. "There are surges, there are aches, there are pains, there's swelling—there's all of that stuff. But it's all really beautiful because it's for a purpose. It's something you either embrace or you don't embrace and I've embraced it."

Not to mention, embracing a few food cravings as well.

"Food that I love, it's really just heightened," Hewitt said. "So, like Mexican food for me is it right now. If someone's like, 'What do you want for breakfast?' I say 'Mexican. And I want it for lunch and dinner too!' That's pretty much all that I eat."

Hewitt also opened up about missing her mother, who passed away last year from complications due to cancer.

"I really feel like, while it's been the most devastating blow to my heart and my spirit, something about this baby has been a gift from her," she said. "It has somehow been able to replace incredible grief with incredible joy. I'm very, very, very grateful for that. As every day approaches, I ask myself a lot why is she not here for this? Am I going to get through it without her? But I know she's out there and she's watching me and helping me and I'm going to be the best mother possible in her honor."

And clearly, motherhood is her biggest priority right now.

"I'm just tackling this first," Hewitt said while gently caressing her belly when asked if she and Hallisay have planned their wedding yet. "This is the most important thing to us, so we'll just get to that after."

Kelly Clarkson Cancels Big Wedding, Plans to Elope

Kelly Clarkson is evidently looking to breakaway from a big wedding.

While the "Catch My Breath" singer had originally made plans to tie the knot with Brandon Blackstock in October, the bride and groom have decided to go a much simpler route.

"We are so busy that we finally just came to terms the other night and were like, 'So, we change our minds and we want to elope," Clarkson told People. "We just got so overwhelmed by it—the decisions."

She added, "Our whole life is a celebration. That's what we kept laughing about. We don't need another day where we throw a big party. Our lives are so in the spotlight all the time. Everything is such a spectacle, we were like, 'We should rather have an intimate moment that's special."

Clarkson and Blackstock got engaged last December after a year of dating.

Spike Lee Plans To Use Kickstarter To Fund Next Film

Spike Lee has a habit of doing things differently when it comes to making his movies, and when he announced his latest picture you could bet that it wasn't just going to be your average movie announcement. Lee is the latest movie-maker to use fan-funding site Kickstarter to get his next project on the road, asking generous fans for donations to get the follow-up to Red Hook Summer off the ground.

Lee is the latest filmmaker to resort to Kickstarter to fund his next movie

Lee set up his Kickstarter page earlier today (July 22), giving fans a one month period (until August 21) to empty their pockets and give generously so that the multi-millionaire can find the money to turn his next film into reality. The title for the film, for now only known as 'The Newest Hottest Spike Lee Joint,' hasn't been revealed, nor has any potential storyline, however at the beginning of his pledge Lee does promise that the film will be a must-see for "Human beings who are addicted to blood. Funny, sexy, and bloody (and it's not 'Blacula')."

"I say my Prayers every night because I have been able to do what I Love and I Love what I do. I am a Filmmaker and I'm blessed," Lee starts his Kickstarter request. "With the current climate in The Hollywood Studio System it's not an encouraging look for Independent Filmmakers. I'm not hating, just stating the facts. Super Heroes, Comic Books, 3D Special EFX, Blowing up the Planet Nine Times and Fly through the Air while Transforming is not my Thang. To me it's not just that these Films are being made but it seems like these are the only films getting made."

Lee has promised donators some special gifts for their generosity

This is more than just a petty cry out for money though, as Lee has promised the most generous donators a slew of special prizes. Those who pledge $5 will receive a special thank you Tweet from the filmmaker himself and access to special behind the scenes updates, whilst $20 pledgers will be given access to a special online screen of the film during it's opening week, on top of the behind the scenes footage. For those of you who are feeling even more generous, pledges of $250 or more will receive two tickets to the world premiere of the film in Los Angeles and $1,000 get you a spot as an extra in the movie. $5,000 will earn you an Associate Producer credit on the film's closing titles and $10,000 will win you a dinner for two with Lee himself, as well as court-side seats (also with Lee in tow) to see his beloved New York Knicks at the Madison Square Garden arena in New York.
