Tina Turner Marries Long Time Partner in Zurich, Switzerland

Tina Turner has tied the knot with her boyfriend Erwin Bach.

A Swiss municipal official confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday (17.07.13) that the pair married ''a few days ago'' in Zurich, Switzerland, during a civil service ceremony.

The couple are allegedly planning an intimate Buddhist wedding at their home this Sunday (21.07.13) with around 120 guests to celebrate their union.

This will be followed by a star-studded white-themed party, where Tina will reportedly wear an Armani gown.

David Bowie, Sade and Oprah Winfrey are among the high-profile guests thought to be attending the event, which Tina has apparently warned neighbours about, apologising in advance for the noise levels.

Tina and Erwin, who is 16 years younger than the 'GoldenEye' vocalist, have been together for 26 years and have lived in Kuesnacht, near Zurich, for 20 years.

The couple met in Germany in 1986, when Erwin managed EMI, Tina's record label.

The 75-year-old singer was previously married to Ike Turner, who she divorced in 1976 due to his abusive behaviour. He died in 2007.

Tina Turner Marries Boyfriend of 27 Years Erwin Bach in Switzerland

Tina Turner and her longtime boyfriend Erwin Bach have finally gotten married!

The 73-year-old singer and her 57-year-old German-born record executive beau tied the knot in a quiet civil ceremony at Lake Zurick in Küsnacht, Northern Switzerland "a few days ago," municipal official Hannes Friess confirms to E! News.

Friess adds, "There will be a private celebration in Küsnacht on Sunday, [July 21]. We do not have any information about names or number of guests."

According to Swiss media (via France's AFP), the pair will reportedly celebrate the union at their Küsnacht manor on Sunday with an intimate Buddhist ceremony attended by 120 guests (Turner is a longtime practicing Buddhist). The eight-time Grammy winner will be wearing a gown designed by Giorgio Armani.

Additionally, music industry stars like David Bowie, Italian music star Eros Ramazzotti and Sade are expected to attend the nuptials and party as is Oprah Winfrey, according to Swiss outlet Schweiz am Sonntag, which also reports that wedding guests have been asked to wear white.

Swiss media also reports that a small stage would be set up for Sunday's ceremony and that Turner and Bach have already sent out letters to their neighbors apologizing in advance for the noise they might cause during the wedding party.

Turner and Bach met back in 1985 at a record label party in London and have been together ever since. The couple moved to Switzerland in 1994 for Bach's business. In January of this year, the "Proud Mary" singer began applying for Swiss citizenship. She officially became a Swiss citizen in April and gave up her American passport.

Turner was famously married to her performing partner Ike Turner for 14 years before the two got into a violent fight in July of 1976 and divorced shortly afterwards.

Wonder if Turner and Bach will play any of her classic hits during the bash (perhaps a little "Simply the Best" or some "Private Dancer"?).
