Tina Fey Reveals She Was Robbed, Shows David Letterman Surveillance Tape

Tina Fey Ray Tamarra/FilmMagic

Tina Fey does not mess around!

The former 30 Rock star stopped by the Late Show and revealed to David Letterman that her office space in Manhattan was robbed.

"What happened was we have this small office and these movers moved in and they told us we had to go downstairs to sign for it and then I think one of the moving guys went upstairs and stole a computer," she explained. "And that had all of my ideas on it."

The understandably peeved comedienne then confessed that she wanted to take matters into her own hands after realizing that the police were busy with more pressing matters.

"The police were helpful, but it's hard, New York's a big city and you're like, ‘Some guy stole my jokes' and they're like, ‘Yeah, we'll get right on it.'"

NEWS: Oprah meditates with David Letterman!

Letterman had his own take on who the possible burglar was, however, and joked with the brunette actress.

"It wasn't Jay Leno, was it?" he joked.

Fey and Letterman actually chose to air the footage "against all legal counsel" on the show.

"We're gonna find this guy," Fey said.

"This is an alleged criminal," she says. "He walks out with what pretty much looks like a computer in a folder. Allegedly."

The video shows a man, with a blurred-out face, taking the computer out of Fey's production company's office inside a manila envelope.

We hope Fey finds her jokes and gets her computer back!

Scarlett Johansson Reveals What She Reaches for When She Takes Off the Black Widow Outfit

It ain't easy being the Black Widow sometimes.

Or, more specifically, it ain't easy fitting into the Black Widow's skin-tight suit pretty much all the time!

"It's not that easy to wear the Black Widow outfit, let's be honest. You can wear the Captain outfit," Captain America: The Winter Soldier star Chris Evans told E! News at Comic-Con on Saturday.

PHOTOS: Best and worst superhero outfits

"He's tried it on, he can tell you firsthand," Scarlett Johansson chimed in, razzing her frequent Marvel Universe costar.

"But I don't know, it just didn't look as good," Evans admitted, shrugging good-naturedly.

The hunky star also agreed that he can sympathize with ScarJo's pain when it comes to sacrificing certain things in order to make weight for those unforgiving superhero getups.

Asked what the one thing is that they reach for when the training is done and the suits come off, Johanssen paused for a second.

"Hmm, I don't know...Just the buffalo sauce!" she offered.

"Just carbs, carbs," Evans added. "Gluten!"

Overall, however, the experience has obviously been worth it, not least because of the legions of new fans the actors have gained by playing such iconic characters—the love for whom is fully on display at places like Comic-Con.

"It's great, it's so exciting," Johansson said. "I never expect that kind of reaction in my life in general, so I'm always thrilled. It's always a nice surprise, right?"

"It's a reward," Evans agreed. "These are the fans that make these movies happen. Without these fans, these movies don't exist. So giving them a treat, giving them something to look forward to, it's rewarding."

And judging by what was revealed at Marvel's big presentation in Hall H, including footage featuring a first look at Robert Redford as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D., the fans are in for quite a treat.

Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige said that the Captain America sequel would be shared by Johansson and Evans "in a big way" and Joe Russo, who codirected the film with brother Anthony Russo, told Huffington Post: "There's a very strong connection in the narrative between the events of the end of Avengers that drive this film—and there's a very strong hand off to Avengers 2 at the end of this movie."
