Zach Braff Wants to "Set the Bar Really High" for Kickstarter Movies: Star Dishes From the Set!

Zach Braff has already proved he knows how to direct (See: indie-classic Garden State), but he knows that he's got something new to prove with his latest project.

"If this is the test case for this way of financing a movie, I want to set the bar really, really high," the Scrubs star told E! News from the set of Wish I Was Here, the Kickstarter-financed film he's currently directing and starring in after cowriting the script with his brother Adam Braff.

Though Braff was initally criticized by some fellow stars for soliciting funds from average Joes, ultimately more than 46,000 donors contributed upward of $3.1 million—and it's game on!

Wish I Was Here also stars Kate Hudson, Jim Parsons, Josh Gad, Ashley Greene, Mandy Patinkin, Joey King and Braff's former Scrubs BFF Donald Faison, so apparently not all of Hollywood disapproved.

"What fascinated me more than anything was the process of this Kickstarter campaign and getting the money through crowd-funding," Gad also told E! "It really does feel like you're making a movie for the people."

And Braff is letting the people speak.

"If any of these 46,000 people email us or contact us they get a response that day, hopefully within a couple of hours, depending on how crazy we are," Braff said. "All questions are answered quickly...We treat them like they're guests at the fanciest hotel and we're the concierge."

That would make Jennifer Terry, whose first movie date with her husband was Garden State, a VIP. She contributed $10,000 and is actually going to be in Braff's movie.

Watch the clip to see what Jennifer has to say about living the dream—and find out how Braff recently fulfilled two of his own childhood dreams!

Shailene Woodley Dishes on Making Toothpaste, Foraging Food & More of Her "Alternative" Lifestyle Practices

Forget five star restaurants!

Shailene Woodley is perfectly happy to find her next meal at the—wait for it—farm.

That's right, the Divergent star recently opened up to Flaunt magazine about her remarkably un-Hollywood approach to life, and we're pretty sure her all-natural lifestyle will have a few of you feeling guilty about your last meal.

"I think everything about my lifestyle is fairly alternative," Woodley revealed. "I gather my own spring water from mountains every month. I go to a farm to get my food."

So much for delivery!

And don't expect the 21-year-old to rely on a fancy chef to whip up her organic goods into a healthy meal for her. On the contrary, the Golden Globe nominated actress is very hands-on when it comes to stocking her home with all the essentials.

"I make everything from my own toothpaste to my own body lotions and face oils. I could go on for hours," she says. "I make my own medicines; I don't get those from doctors. I make my own cheese and forage wild foods and identify wild plants."

Normally, we'd be surprised to learn that a star with so many projects and red carpet commitments would have that much time on her hands, but the low-key Woodley has been known to hit premieres with no makeup and wet hair.

And we're guessing her new short ‘do has probably helped her cut down on her red carpet prep time, too.

But time consuming or not, we're guessing Woodley will stick to her alternative practices.

"It's an entire lifestyle," she said. "It's appealing to my soul."

Kris Jenner Dishes on Kim Kardashian's Post-Baby Diet and Fitness Plan

It's been two months since Kim Kardashian and Kayne West welcomed daughter North, and while the world has yet to see their bundle of joy, we did get a brief glimpse of the reality star's fabulous new mom body.

To find out what Kim has been doing post-pregnancy, we went straight to the head of the Kardashian clan: Kris Jenner.

Kim has been staying with her mom since giving birth on June 15, and the talk-show host tells E! News' Ken Baker that in that time "she's been eating right and working out and she looks great!"

NEWS: Kayne West debuts North West on Kris Jenner's Show!

Most importantly? "She's trying to take it healthy," says Kris. "I think she's an inspiration to people that have to realize that you don't just have a baby and boom you just have your body back on Friday."

Besides, fitness and diet aren't a priority for Kim right now—motherhood comes first.

"She's nursing a baby," explains Kris. "She's been nesting and she's on this fantastic journey of being a mom. She's having the greatest experience."

Not that Kris (a mom of six!) hasn't been bestowing a few words of wisdom to her daughter. She says she simply tells Kim to "relax and enjoy it!"
