Shailene Woodley, Theo James & More Divergent Stars Explain Faction Life—Watch Now!

For the characters living in the dystopian world created by Divergent author Veronica Roth, the phrase "Faction Before Blood" is a way of life.

But what does it really mean to be a part of a faction? Roth, along with the stars of the highly anticipated movie adaptation, explain the idea of living a certain lifestyle that corresponds to the five factions introduced in the novel in an official and newly released clip from Summit Entertainment.

"At some point in everybody's life, you have to decide if you're gonna stick with the way you were raised or listen to your own internal compass?" Roth asks.

The book describes five factions—Amity, Candor, Erudite, Abnegation and Dauntless—or ways of life, and as actress Shailene Woodley, who plays the main character Tris, explains, "In the Divergent world, once you leave the nest, there is no going back."

Woodley adds, "These paradigms of thinking—compassion, honesty, intelligence, selflessness and bravery—represents society."

Meanwhile, Theo James, who takes on the role of Four in the movie, further explains, "After so many years of war and pain, humanity has a reached a time where the only way they perceive themselves to survive is to create a new system of democracy, and that is splitting ourselves into five different ways of thinking—five factions."

Keira Knightley Is All Smiles While Stepping Out in London Sans Husband James Righton

Keira Knightley XPOSUREPHOTOS.COM

Keira Knightley is enjoying a night on the town.

The 28-year-old actress recently stepped out in London for a night out with pals sans hubby James Righton.

The Brit beauty was all smiles while arriving at local pub The Royal Oak. Knightley was dressed casually in ballet flats, black tights, black skirt and a black and white blouse tied at her stomach. She completed her simple look with a chic black Chanel bag.

Knightley headed into the pub with a male friend on crutches and was later seen hopping into the back of a car to head home. Although her hubby wasn't in tow, she seemed happy during the casual night out.

Knightley and Righton married in the South of France back in early May. Close family and friends watched as they tied the knot in a private 10-minute long ceremony.

James Franco Goes Creepy as Emma Roberts' Soccer Coach in Palo Alto Trailer—Watch!

James Franco's going back to his roots.

The trailer for Palo Alto, based on the actor's collection of short stories, is online (via Vulture) and finds Franco starring as a soccer coach who initiates a relationship—and quite possibly a lot of trouble—with youngster Emma Roberts.

"I'm older and I know that there aren't a lot of good things around and I know that you are really good," the 35-year-old actor's creepy character, Mr. B, tells his much-younger star player in the brief teaser.

NEWS: James Franco wants you to fund his indie film Palo Alto Stories

Beyond Mr. B's creepy come-on to his team's striker, there's more to the tale than that. The film also follows a bunch of high school boys "looking for trouble," as a title card notes, apparently by doing whippets and committing other teenage mischief.

The film, adapted and directed by Gia Coppola—yes, the 25-year-old granddaughter of Francis Ford Coppola—feels like a tribute to her filmmaking aunt, Sofia Coppola, with its lilting musical score and montage of fresh-faced young people living out privileged lives in this wealthy suburb.

Val Kilmer shows up as a teacher, possibly not as bad a one as Franco's character—though he does go to the trouble of rewriting Roberts' character's paper—as does Gia's great aunt, Talia Shire, in an unspecified role. Playing one of the teens in the ensemble, by the way, is Kilmer's 18-year-old son Jack, who bears a close resemblance to the Top Gunner.

Palo Alto is scheduled to premiere at the Telluride Film Festival this weekend. No word yet on a general release.

The Following at Comic-Con 2013: James Purefoy Makes Surprise Appearance, Returning For Season 2

Talk about a killer return!

Though he wasn't scheduled to attend 2013 Comic-Con, James Purefoy made a surprise appearance at The Following's panel on Friday, joining executive producers Kevin Williamson and Marcos Siega and actors Kevin Bacon, Shawn Ashmore and Valorie Curry.

And though his iconic serial killer character Joe Carroll was supposedly killed off in the finale (being inside a building that blows up tends to do that), it was announced that Purefoy will be returning as a series regular for the Fox hit's highly anticipated second season, debuting January 2014. We guess Joe had a few more tricks up his sleeve after all!

Purefoy popped up in character to make the announcement via a "phone call" with Bacon's Ryan. "On the contrary, Ryan, I'm very much alive and kicking," he said.  "My apologies for not calling sooner…You didn't really think you could do a Comic-Con panel without me?"

Williamson played coy when asked for details on Joe's return, simply saying, "Yeah, I guess he might be alive. Of course Joe Carroll will figure into next season."

Aside from Joe's reappearance, Williamson teased that fans can expect less FBI-centric A-storylines in season two, which will pick up a year after the events of the finale. As for Claire (Natalie Zea)? Well, Zea will be back in season two, but a preview featuring new footage (spoiler alert!) showed Ryan's love, and Joe's ex-wife, dead. Yikes!

Keep checking back with us for more scoop on The Following's second season.

The Royal Baby's Name: James Jumps to Top of the List Among Oddsmakers

Ladies and gents, place your bets! (Yes, this is still going on.)

In case you're itching for a gamble, there's still time to put down some money on what you think Prince William and Kate Middleton will name their son, and right now bookies are saying the new favorite for the Prince of Cambridge is James.

That moniker currently has 2-1 odds of being chosen, surpassing the earlier leader among boys' names, George, which is now 5-1, along with Henry—Prince Harry's real name—according to The Daily Mail.

NEWS: Kate Middleton gives birth

Victoria Arbiter, ABC's royals contributor and daughter of former Queen Elizabeth II press secretary Dickie Arbiter, previously told E! News, "I wouldn't be surprised if we saw George as a first name as a tribute to the queen's father."

She added, "What is nice about George is it has become a bit trendy, cool and fun again without being silly. We may also see mention of Philip, possibly Charles for William's father. We may see Arthur, which is a middle name that both William and Charles share. All very traditional."

The name James also has links to both families, however William's cousin, the Earl and Countess of Wessex's son Viscount Severn, already has that name.

Plus, Great Britain has had no fewer than seven King Jameses over the last millennium, so we know that works for the monarchy.

"The name of the baby will be announced in due course," Kensington Palace said in a statement today. Will and Kate will decide when to make the announcement.

Prince William's own parents, Prince Charles and the late Princess Diana, waited a week before announcing Will's name, while Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Phillip spent an entire month picking out a name for Charles.

So again, we enter the waiting game.

Tune in to E! News for continuing coverage of the royal baby!
